Dr. Abdullah Al-Amin Foundation Constitution

Dr. Abdullah Al-Amin Foundation Constitution (Proposed)

 

1. Name The name of the foundation shall be “Dr. Abdullah Al-Amin Foundation”.

2. Aims and Objectives The main objectives of the foundation are:

* To provide scholarships to underprivileged and meritorious students.

* To honor outstanding teachers.

* To distribute winter clothing among the poor and distressed. * To provide financial support to mosques and madrasas.

* To support the development of schools and libraries and distribute books.

* To assist promising students pursuing higher education.

* To organize free medical camps for the poor and needy.

* To maintain and operate the website draminlibrary.com

* To publish constructive national literature.

3. Office of the Foundation The permanent office of the foundation shall be located at House No. 792, Ibrahimpur Bazar Road (West), Thana Kafrul, Dhaka-1206. The temporary head office shall be at Flat 7E, Holding No. 199, Road No. 4, Padma Residential Area, Rajshahi.

4. Membership To become a member of the foundation, one must:

* Be a citizen of Bangladesh.

* Have an interest in humanitarian service and education.

* Be approved by the Executive Committee. Types of Members:

* Life Member

* General Member

* Advisory Member

5. Executive Committee The Executive Committee shall be the policy-making and implementing body of the foundation. Its tenure shall be 3 years.

 

Composition of the Executive Committee:

Chairman: Yusuf Abdullah Amin (Shibly), CEO

Vice Chairpersons: Mrs. Jainab Begum, Dr. Abu Shahin Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, MBBS, FCPS (Medicine), MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edinburgh)

Member Secretary: Tasnisha Ferdous Chowdhury, BSc (Hons), MSc (First Class)

Treasurer: Mr. Shafiqul Islam, MS (First Class, DU)

Members:

* Mrs. Farhana Akter (Nishu), MA

* Mrs. Farzana Amin (Nipu), MS (First Class)

* Dr. Rukhsana Amin (Minu), MBBS (Rajshahi), DDV (BSMMU), MCPS (Dermatology)

* Dr. Rubayet Islam (Rubel), BDS

* Dr. Hossain Mitu Islam, MBBS

* Alhaj Md. Nurul Islam (Dentist) The above-mentioned 11 persons shall be considered members of the Executive Committee. General Members:

* Md. Shamsul Islam

* Md. Mahmudul Islam (Shimul)

* Md. Rohanul Islam (Rohan)

6. Duties and Responsibilities

Chairman:

* Holds the highest responsibility for all activities.

* Will preside over meetings.

* Will formulate and approve policies with the consent of two-thirds of the Executive Committee.

Vice Chairpersons:

* Will assist the Chairman and act in his absence.

Treasurer:

* Will maintain the income and expenditure records.

* Will prepare the annual audit and report.

Member Secretary:

* Will manage operations, issue meeting notices, and maintain records of programs and minutes.

Members:

* Will participate in planning, fundraising, and project implementation.

7. Meetings and Quorum

* General Meeting: At least once a year.

* Executive Meeting: Every 3 months or as required.

* Quorum: One-third of total members.

8. Funds and Expenditures**

* Sources: Member donations, contributions, fundraising, government and private aid.

* Expenditures: To be made according to approved policies, aimed at humanitarian and educational development.

* A bank account will be maintained in a scheduled bank of Bangladesh under the joint name of the Treasurer and Member Secretary.

9. Audit An approved audit firm will conduct the audit annually, and the report will be published.

10. Amendments Any clause of this constitution can only be amended with the consent of two-thirds of the members.

11. Dissolution In case of dissolution, all assets of the foundation must be used for educational and humanitarian purposes and shall not be distributed among members or individuals.

**Final Statement**

This constitution has come into effect on 1 July 2025, and all members are bound to abide by its provisions.
